There were so many unique and exotic plants Iโve never seen before, I even discovered my new favorite flower! The whole place was designed very well, I can tell a lot of thought went into every detail. This is a great date, event, or even wedding spot! My only complaint is the bugs, but obviously those come with the beautiful plants. Definitely visit!

The State Botanical Garden in Athens, Georgia is a wonderful place to visit with kids. Theyโll love exploring the beautiful flowers and plants, and itโs a great way to spend time outdoors as a family. Even better, admission is free and thereโs no parking fee, making it an easy and affordable outing

Wonderful landscape with beautiful flowers and plants managed by The University of Georgia. There are many events spread across the year. The best time to visit would be during the spring when the flowers are blooming and not too hot from summer weather. During November they also do winter wonderlights where they decorate the trees and the space with lightning. So you can definitely have a good time there regardless if youโre a botany lover or not. They also have a small playground which is pretty fun to play. Highly recommended if you visit Athens. Donโt forget to visit the gift shop on your way out to support the park. Since itโs a free entry place anything you can spend here helps to maintain the park.

Beautiful place, we took my elderly mom, she loved the scooter, there were only a few places with steps that she couldn't go, she even went in the bathroom. Lots of parking. Cafe was closed due to software problems, hopefully that was only for just a day, coz we had planned to eat there and went hungry. ๐คทโโ๏ธ This is a great place to take photos. There are a lot of awesome photos spots.

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia, and it was such a beautiful and unique venue to work at. The conservatory created an incredible setting for the ceremony. Surrounded by lush greenery and natural light, it felt like stepping into a serene, garden oasis. From a photographerโs perspective, the space offers a soft, diffused light that photographs beautifully and elevates every moment in such a natural, timeless way. Beyond the conservatory, the grounds are expansive and thoughtfully maintained, providing so many opportunities for portraits with a variety of backdrops. Every corner feels intentional and picturesque. The team was also wonderful to work with. They were organized, helpful, and ensured everything flowed smoothly throughout the day, which makes such a difference for both the vendor team and the couple. I would highly recommend the State Botanical Garden to couples looking for a setting that feels both elegant and connected to nature.
